Description

The moon phase display of the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar deviates from the moon’s actual orbit by only one day every 577.5 years. On the double moonphase version, the lunar cycles are mirrored for the northern and southern hemispheres. The iconic railway-track chapter ring, a hallmark of the Portugieser line, frames the complete moon phase display, set against a starlit night sky, making the moon and stars appear to float in infinite space. This elegant and technically sophisticated timepiece features a perpetual calendar, four-digit year display, 7-day automatic movement with Pellaton winding system, and power reserve display. It is powered by the IWC-manufactured calibre 52000 series with solid red gold rotor and blued screws. This version features an 18-carat white gold case, a blue dial under a domed sapphire glass, and is fitted with a black alligator strap.
