Our services
At Hall of Time, every overhaul, maintenance or repair begins with a meticulous in-store assessment by our experts. This crucial first step allows us to accurately evaluate the condition of your timepiece and identify any potential issues. We then propose a tailor-made solution and handle the shipment of your watch directly to the official workshops of the brands we represent. This ensures that all work is carried out in full compliance with the specifications and standards of each manufacturer. Once the intervention is complete, your watch is returned to you in like-new condition.

- complete overhaul, restoring the movement and functionality to optimal condition
- polishing of the case and bracelet, bringing back their original lustre
- water-resistance testing, recommended every two years to protect against moisture ingress
- battery or strap replacement, ensuring your watch continues to perform in all circumstances
Complete overhaul
A complete overhaul is a delicate and highly technical process designed to restore your watch to peak performance. While the exact procedure may vary depending on the model and brand, it generally follows a series of essential steps that can take several weeks — depending on the condition of your timepiece. Despite the wait, a complete overhaul is a key moment in the life of a watch, helping to preserve its aesthetic and mechanical value for many years to come.
The process includes:
1. Dismantling
The watch is carefully disassembled — including the case, movement and all individual components — for a thorough inspection.
2. Cleaning
Each part is cleaned using specialised techniques. Mechanical components are typically cleaned in an ultrasonic bath to remove oil, grease and debris.
3. Replacement of worn parts
All components are checked for wear or damage. Any defective parts are replaced with original manufacturer components.
4. Gasket check and replacement
Gaskets are inspected and replaced if necessary to ensure water-resistance according to original specifications.
5. Case and bracelet cleaning
The case and bracelet are cleaned separately. Polishing may be performed to remove scratches and restore their original shine.
6. Lubrication and winding
The movement is carefully lubricated at key friction points and precisely wound to ensure smooth, accurate functioning.
7. Adjustment and functional testing
The movement is adjusted for precision, and all functions — including winding and time-setting — are thoroughly tested.
8. Final inspection
The watch undergoes a full series of quality control checks (including accuracy and water-resistance) to ensure flawless operation.
9. Service certificate
Upon completion, we issue a service certificate detailing the work performed and offering a guarantee on both parts and labour.
