Description

The moon phase display of the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar deviates from the moon’s actual orbit by only one day every 577.5 years. The mirrored moonphase design depicts lunar cycles for both hemispheres and is set within the signature railway-track minute scale of the Portugieser collection. The moon and stars appear to float in an infinite cosmos. This highly refined watch features a perpetual calendar, four-digit year display, 7-day automatic movement with Pellaton winding system, and power reserve indicator. It is powered by an IWC-manufactured calibre from the 52000 series with a solid red gold rotor and blued screws. The 18-carat red gold case houses a slate-coloured dial under a domed sapphire crystal, and the timepiece is worn on a black alligator strap.
